Robin Scholl is a lifelong artist who believes her students should have fun painting in and out of class.
Robin loves giving first-time artists and her returning students the tools to realize their goals.
Robin recognizes that art is personal and encourages students to use their own photographs as resource material- perhaps memories from a vacation or from their own backyard.
Robin paints from her travels in Europe, Asia, the U.S, and her native California. In a new place, she may take dozens of photographs capturing her experience with an emphasis on light and light source. In class and at home in her Los Altos studio, Robin paints from these photos. She encourages her students to paint from their favorite experiences in their own way.
Currently, Robin teaches classes privately in her Los Altos studio and at the Pacific Art League of Palo Alto. Here she is demonstrating watercolor technique from her home studio:
